About Phish - Featured Artists

It is not that simple to dismiss Phish, a jam band that was totally in control of the drugs. No doubt they were influenced by it in some conditions but at times it increased also.

Phish was the most electrifying band in the era of 90s and one could easily enjoy their performances. They also shared humor during their performances which entertained the people. They were thriving enough to draw a significant crowd through their live performances which is just impossible for a normal jam band. But as the time passed with constant live performances the band members were feeling the tiredness and during the year of 1997 the band started doing new experiments in their jams. The band was of the opinion that this will work but soon they realized that it would be better to maintain with the old melodies. Following this flexibility the interest for creating original compositions was diminishing.

After Gracia’s died the band got more involved towards the drugs and it gave the young generation an opening for ‘that scene’ during the last of the Grateful Dead tour. The band members became increasingly stench and rude which was the total contradictory of their reputation. The college crowds of New England were following their music religiously and were extending the music through the tapes.

The band’s further albums were more of a typical and attractive quality, they provided that old style of sound but at the same time they became less creative that projected the lack of band’s energy in their creations. There was nothing wrong but strong messages were passed on that they desperately need a respite. After coming back in the year 2002 and less than a time period of two years the band finally agreed to conclude. And this happened in August in the year 2004. Caring less of the last hours of the Phish the youngsters hyped on the cocktails and only a few felt entertained on their last shows. But the fans were sober to realize the moldy stench for what is rest in peace for Phish.

Whatever may be the reason the fans will always remember Phish. You cannot ignore their early works if you are a genuine music lover. There are definitely one or two marbles for you. But Phish’s some creations you just cannot accept and genuinely requires some time to identify with even if you are strong fan. And for the die-hard fans they will be the best band of the early 1990s will stay as the best jam band ever hit the music scene. The CDs those are worth watching are Hoist, Lawn Boy, and Picture of Nectar.
